Wananavu is situated off the beaten track in Rakiraki which is about 2 + hours drive from Nadi International Airport.  I love Rakiraki!!! The ride from Nadi to Rakiraki is an enjoyable one as you pass through Lautoka (Fiji’s 2^nd City) and Ba (The birthplace of many of Fiji’s biggest locally owned companies and Fiji’s Official Soccer Crazy Town). The roads along the coast on your way to Rakiraki are excellent and the drive is enjoyable. Once you get to the resort Ben and his team do a great job of looking after you. They have a number of options for you to choose from for your vows, my favorite is, well actually I don’t know what the name of it is but it is a look out point. The day I visited Ben and his team were setting up for a wedding and it looked spectacular with white flags marking the walk way and the ocean as a backdrop.  With 34 deluxe bure’s this resort is small enough that it is perfect to just book it out for the weekend and have a blast.  Just on an unrelated but related note, Wananavu has one of the ‘best priced’ wine lists available in hotels that I have seen.
