Vatulele Island Resort

Vatulele-4

Fiji Wedding’s Review:

If your dream Fiji Wedding includes a stunning long white beach, great food, good service and a chance to ‘Escape from it all” then Vatulele Island Resort is where you will find all of these things and more.

My adventure began at Nadi International Airport’s domestic terminal where you catch your flight to Vatulele. If you are like me and travelling in small planes is something you are not a big fan of I would recommend possibly upgrading to chartering a Helicopter, having said that, our flight was smooth and enjoyable!

A quick drive from the grass air strip to Vatulele Resort certainly gave me the feeling of being on safari, once there, it seemed like the whole resort had come out to greet us with Fijian songs of welcome. A glass of bubbly starts off your ‘check in’ process before you are taken to your room by golf cart.

The Villas are substantial and spacious, everything you would expect of a Luxury Boutique Resort. I was lucky enough to stay in the Luxury Beach Bure with a plunge pool, I highly recommend it. From the cool comfort of my plunge pool I looked straight out to my own private section of the beach that literally had hundreds of butterflies enjoying themselves in the sunlight.

The beach at Vatulele Island Resort is truly spectacular, and due to the size of this boutique resort and the way each Bure has been built into the existing vegetation as you stand on one side of the beach looking down at the other end. You would be forgiven for thinking you were on your own private island.

All dinning is done in the communal restaurant area, meals were notably flavoursome. If you wished to have a private dinner this can easily be arranged with the staff who were only too happy to assist, with a number of private dining area options including the beach.

In terms of Weddings, Vatulele Island Resort is perfect, if there is just the two of you or if you book out the resort. They can hold a maximum of 38 people, so if a high end, tropical and intimate wedding is what you are looking for, then you have found it at Vatulele Island Resort.
